GQ Magazine Launches First-Ever NFT Collection!

The Men’s fashion magazine, GQ (Gentlemen’s Quarterly) is releasing its very first NFT collection. And already holders have a promise of multiple benefits. The GQ NFT collection dubbed ‘GQ3 Issue 001: Change is Good,’ features artwork from 4 different artists. Each artist has a task to bring the collection’s message to life in their own unique way. The GQ NFT Collection

The GQ NFT collection features 1,661 NFTs linked to one-of-a-kind art pieces. Created by artists Chuck Anderson, REO, Kelsey Niziolek, and Serwah Attafuah in celebration of GQ’s 66th anniversary. Subsequently, minting artwork from the first GQ digital art drop will give readers a variety of benefits. This includes a GQ magazine subscription, exclusive GQ merchandise, the GQ box, and a ticket to the GQ3 party in NYC. 

According to the announcement, each artist created more than 100 unique traits that were algorithmically combined into stand-alone artworks. Each artist then carefully hand-selected a final collection of one-of-a-kind pieces, which are a part of this collection. 

Moreover, each NFT will be priced at 0.1957 ETH, in honor of the year the magazine was founded.

How To Purchase?

The GQ NFTs will mint on March 8 and the mint will be in 3 phases:

• Tier 1: Guaranteed allow list for GQ OGs who claim their spot and active members of the GQ Discord.
• Tier 2: A first-come, first-served pre-mint list for selected partners and GQ pre-mint winners.
• Tier 3: Public sale (if available).

Additionally, investors can purchase the NFT collection either in ETH or using a credit card using the currency of their choice. 

How To get on the allowlist?

You can get on the allowlist and waitlist if you have already purchased a GQ OG. Which was a collection from 2022 that grants the holder access to future NFT projects (aka this). And unlocks exclusive elements in the Discord server. 

Furthermore, If you are on the allowlist, you are guaranteed the opportunity to mint a GQ NFT. If you mint your NFT during the Tier 1 time slot.

If you are on the pre-mint list, you will receive early access to mint the digital collectible, in accordance with the minting schedule. But that still does not guarantee you to be able to mint a digital collectible.

This isn’t the first time high-profile media outlets join the NFT game. With the GQ NFTs, the magazine joins a number of legacy publications that have started to embrace Web3 with mixed results.
