Jordan 1 Silver: A Reconciliation Prize After The Dior L?

19 years old Jordan 1 Silver giving us major chills and over $200 profit on the aftermarket!

If there’s anything Nike is good at, it’s bringing sneakers back to life. We know that first-hand because Dunks came back as strong as ever in 2020! However, this time the release wasn’t dead in the first place. In fact, this pair is highly coveted due to its exclusivity. Our TBT isn’t today, but Jordan 1 Silver CO.JP deserves a throwback fit for hype kicks!

    Back to 2001: Jordan 1 Silver CO.JP

It’s 2001, and the sneaker industry is booming with the Japan-exclusive Jordans! A pair of Jordan 1 Silver Highs is dropping, in a limited run that has that friends & family feels! In fact, 2,001 pairs only dropped in a special silver metal box. The box even had a set of keys to open and lock it! So all in all, the kicks were a collector’s item to boot.

    Jordan 1 Silver 2001

Air Jordan 1 Silver 2001 retailed for $150 and currently resells for an average of $617. The number may not be very high compared to other classics, but it’s 4x retail nevertheless!

    19 Years Later…

Nike and Jordan Brand are killing it with the hype train we’re all jumping on! Especially with the revival of the CO.JP line. CO.JP is a line of kicks that are Japan-exclusive. However, in 2020, Air Jordan 1 Silver is receiving a worldwide and Japan-exclusive release!

    Jordan 1 Silver Worldwide Release

The upcoming Jordan 1 Silver features a white leather upper with silver overlays to complete the looks. The kicks stayed true to the original colorway, with a tiny, but noticeable, detail. The 2001 pair had the Jumpman on the tongue. For the 2020 drop, Jordan Brand replaces the Jumpman with the Nike Air branding. Not a deal-breaker though, we’re good.

    Japan Gets The Box!

Well, you probably guessed it by now. Staying true to tradition, the special Japanese version will be numbered from 1 to 2,020! Moreover, the silver box is also making a comeback. So if you’re an aspiring collector, better have some friends in Japan!
