Naturally, Nike is one of the first brands to find the eastern gems and bring them under the spotlight. This time, it’s Kasina’s turn with the Kasina x Nike Dunk Low collaboration!
What Is Kasina?
Kasina is South Korea’s biggest streetwear concept store. It opened its doors back in 1997 as a skateboard shop. But then again, that’s how most prominent streetwear stores start out! The store sells items from many brands including Nike. And since Nike is always on the lookout and supports local stores and shops, we got this collab! And if you wanna visit the store, better book a flight to Seoul, South Korea.
Kasina x Nike Dunk Low Green
The Kasina x Nike Dunk Low collaboration gave us two amazing colorways of the silhouette. The inspiration behind both colorways is travels through South Korea. The first colorway featured a Neptune Green suede upper with white leather underlays and a white suede swoosh. This colorway represents road signs on the Gyeongbu Expressway. The hangtag is actually proof of that! This green Kasina x Nike Dunk Low dropped on September 18, 2020, and it was a Kasina exclusive. So if you’re not living in South Korea, it’s the resale market for you!
Kasina x Nike Dunk Low Blue
Don’t feel too bad though, we’ve got an international pair for you. The second Kanisa x Nike Dunk Low comes in the same white leather underlays. However, the suede is in blue, in addition to the yellow suede swoosh. The hangtag this time is a steering wheel, nodding to the transportation in Korea back in the 1980s. In fact, both pairs are a nod to the 80s, which happened to be the same era in which Dunks became a thing!
