Mastercard NFT Music Pass: Unlock A Web3 Music Experience!

At NFT.NYC (The largest annual NFT conference in the space) on Wednesday, Mastercard aka the second-largest credit card and payment-processing corporation in the world announced its plans for a Mastercard NFT. What’s it about? Let’s get into it.

The FOMO is real. Is there any company without Web3 plans as of 2023? I don’t think so! Everyone is in such a rush to get a piece of the cake before it goes rotten. Or a piece despite it going rotten. If you catch our drift.

It’s worth noting that this is not Mastercard’s first Web3 and non-fungibles venture. Back in June 2022, the company began allowing cardholders to purchase NFTs with fiat through a partnership with payments infrastructure company MoonPay.

I digress. Let’s talk about the Mastercard NFT.

Get Your Mastercard NFT By The End of April

Mastercard does love to give back to and support the music industry. Namely, it sponsored the Grammy Awards, Latin Grammy Awards, BRIT Awards, and the making of the first Sonic Latin America Music Festival in the Metaverse.

Now, Mastercard is teaming up with the Polygon blockchain to bring us music pass Mastercard NFTs to what they’re calling “The Mastercard Artist Accelerator” program.

It’s worth noting that Mastercard NFTs can be freely minted and collected by the end of April. Sign up and claim your pass here!

    Two birds in one stone.

The project aims to support emerging and on the rise Artists as well as embrace this generation’s Web3 technologies. Moreover, the Mastercard NFT provides access to AI technology and educational tools.

Mastercard is sponsoring education and innovation. Basically, the Mastercard Artist Accelerator will play a critical role in supporting the creator economy by building skills, encouraging innovation, understanding business, and building networks.

    Mastercard x Polygon

Chief Marketing & Communications Officer and President at Mastercard Raja Rajamannar said the following:

“As a company, we hope to help people and partners around the world better understand and trust how blockchain and digital assets are used – and how our technology can support the ecosystem. We also believe that Web3 can be a powerful tool in connecting people and building communities around shared universal passions”,

Polygon is definitely on a roll.

We had Polygon NFTs top Ethereum in February, Y00ts migrating to Polygon, Unstoppable Domains x Polygon, and now this! Without a doubt, the Mastercard NFT will push the use of the Blockchain’s native token MATIC.

We’ll have to wait and see how this will turn out. Will you hop aboard this new Mastercard NFT release?
