Nike Off White equals hype. It has been that way since “The Ten” launched. Pair after pair, Virgil proves that he’s here to stay, and so is the sneaker industry! So in 2020, the collabs are just coming, like the awesome Off White Jordan 5. But we’re not going to discuss that now. In fact, we’re gonna talk about the interesting Off White Nike Rubber Dunk!
Off White Nike Rubber Dunk: A 90’s Throwback
If there’s anything we love about the 90s, it’s the fashion! Some of our favorite series are 90s shows like Friends and the Fresh Prince (which, by the way, have their own kicks). So naturally, this decade is always present in the streetwear scene. Especially that streetwear started getting the recognition it deserves back then. Moreover, stores we swear by, like Supreme, launched in the middle of the 1990s. But why do we like this collab?
The Off White Nike Rubber Dunk is a pair that has the oldie vibe. And that’s not a bad thing, we love us a nostalgic pair of kicks! This is not a re-imagination of a silhouette, this is a new model in itself. According to Abloh, the shoe is about incorporating past ideas into a new era! The kicks feature an upper that looks like the Nike P-6000 and the Dunk soles. However, we’ve got a visible air unit just like the Air Max line! The coolest bit about them is the rubber swoosh and Virgil’s signature hangtag.

Each Colorway Has a Story!
So, according to Virgil Abloh himself, each colorway is a nod to a certain idea. The black pair is the designer’s go-to colorway. The golden pair is a tribute to the Atlanta 1996 Olympics. Finally, the blue pair is a throwback to the trendy colors of the 2000s! So the Off White Nike Rubber Dunk is a release that you shouldn’t miss wherever you are!
